Position: Back End Java Developer

Location: REMOTE in Brazil, Chile, Columbia, or Costa Rica

Duration: 12-month contract

Pay Rate: $30-40/hour (depending on experience)

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5-6 years of backend development experience
  • Strong proficiency in Java, SpringBoot, Microservices, SQL/PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Solid understanding of integration architecture and backend services
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

  • POS/Retail experience
  • Triaging/troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with JumpMind or similar POS Technology

Insight Global is hiring a Backend Developer to join our Transaction Team, supporting high‑impact integration and feature work within our clients POS ecosystem. This role centers on backend engineering with a strong focus on Java-based development, data processing, and fresh feature builds. The ideal candidate is a sharp, analytical engineer who can ramp up quickly and contribute to both new development and production support as needed. This role is primarily focused on new development (80-90%) with occasional involvement in production issue resolution (10-15%).
