Backend Engineer – (AI-Driven Feature Development)

Role Overview

We are hiring a strong Backend Engineer who will work on core backend development while gradually contributing to AI-enabled features in our ERP platform. The ideal candidate has solid backend fundamentals and an interest in AI through side projects or initial exposure.

Key ResponsibilitiesBackend Development (Primary)

• Build, maintain, and improve backend services.
• Write clean, testable code and support CI/CD workflows.
• Work with relational databases and participate in system architecture discussions.
• Collaborate closely with dev, QA, and product teams.

AI-Driven Feature Support (Secondary)

• Assist in integrating LLM-based capabilities into product features.
• Contribute to prototypes for chatbots, semantic search, and data insights.
• Experiment with structured data to validate feature ideas.
• Follow safe data-handling and model cost-optimization practices.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of backend or web development experience.
• Strong SQL knowledge (CTEs, Window functions, relational modelling).
• Familiarity with TDD and CI/CD practices.
• Willingness to work primarily in PHP/Symfony.
• Exposure to or interest in LLM APIs, Python/Pandas, or AI experimentation.
• Comfortable working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).

Nice to Have

• Experience with exploring data in notebooks like Jupyter.
• Understanding of RAG pipelines or semantic search.
• Knowledge of search systems (Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, or similar).
• Experience in B2B or SaaS environments.
