TEKsystems is currently supporting a transportation client in search for a backhaul coordinator in Burlington County, NJ. This position will be the primary support for securing backhaul transportation routes for the driver fleet. Description
Maximize equipment utilization by securing profitable backhaul freight for drivers. This role works closely with outside freight brokers and internal operations team to keep trucks loaded, reduce empty miles, and protect margins.
+ Source and secure backhaul freight through established and new freight broker relationships
+ Negotiate ratesand terms to ensure profitable moves
+ Communicate closely with dispatch and drivers to align backhauls with schedules and equipment availability
