Baker - Fine Dining experience only.

Responsibilities

  • Manage quantities to be baked, ensuring supply while minimizing waste.
  • Establish the menu for bread offerings, balancing maintenance and innovation.
  • Cost out offerings to ensure appropriate margins.
  • Try new recipes and tweak as needed, without fear of failing.
  • Dispose of any bread that does not meet excellent quality standards.
  • Execute large custom-made orders.
  • Execute occasional pre-order specials.
  • Keep work areas clean and presentable, updating lists as required to maintain a tidy environment.
  • Maintain inventory for baking-related ingredients and place orders or report to Head Cook to buy as needed.
  • Notify if tools are not functioning properly and report any maintenance needs.
  • Abide by health and safety laws.
