Job Description
• Preparing and baking a wide variety of bread products, including but not limited to ciabatta, baguettes, multigrain breads, sandwich loaves, and artisan-style breads, in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
• Mixing, kneading, fermenting, proving, and shaping doughs using appropriate techniques, both by hand and with commercial baking equipment.
• Monitoring baking processes by setting and controlling oven temperatures, baking times, and humidity levels to ensure consistent product quality and appearance.
• Hand-shaping loaves and baked goods and finishing products to required specifications prior to and after baking.
• Planning daily and weekly production requirements, including calculating quantities of dough and ingredients to minimise waste while meeting customer demand.
• Preparing workstations prior to production and ensuring all ingredients, tools, and equipment are ready for use.
