Job Description
Preparation and Organization: Set up the bar area before service, ensuring that all necessary ingredients, tools, and equipment are ready. Stock the bar with ice, glassware, garnishes, and other essentials to facilitate efficient service.
Glassware Maintenance: Collect used glassware, wash and polish it, and return it to the appropriate shelves for reuse. Ensure that clean glassware is readily available for bartenders to use.
Ingredient Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients, such as slicing fruits, preparing garnishes, and mixing syrups. Help keep ingredient stations well-stocked and organized.
Bar Equipment Handling: Assist bartenders in setting up and maintaining bar equipment, such as blenders, shakers, and pour spouts. Replace empty bottles of alcohol, mixers, and other supplies as needed.
Beverage Delivery: Transport prepared beverages from the bar to serving stations or directly to guests. Ensure that drink orders are accurately matched to guests' requests.
Trash Removal: Empty and replace trash bins as necessary to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the bar area. Dispose of used cocktail napkins, straws, and other waste.
Cleanliness and Organization: Continuously clean and wipe down bar surfaces, counters, and spills to maintain a tidy and presentable appearance. Organize and restock bar shelves during and after service.
Guest Interaction: Interact with guests by providing water, menu information, and general assistance as required. Respond promptly to guest requests and provide a positive and friendly experience.
Support During Service: Assist bartenders during busy periods by fetching ingredients, fetching glassware, and helping with basic drink preparation.
Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and inform the bartender when supplies are running low. Assist in tracking inventory usage and reporting any discrepancies.
Communication: Maintain open communication with bartenders and other team members to ensure a coordinated workflow.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations, including proper handling of glassware and cleaning chemicals.
