Bartender

We currently own and operate 5 successful establishments: Calypso Bar and Grill, Repeal Bourbon and Burgers, 3 Hair of the Dog Eatery’s (Downtown  Granby, Hampton  BLVD across from ODU and Loehmann’s Plaza in Virginia Beach)
 

Our company is looking for a high-energy bartender to serve exciting cocktails and perform an unforgettable experience to our patrons. The bartender will be responsible for preparing beverages, answering questions about menu items, engaging in conversation with customers to better their experience, and meeting our restaurant customer service standards. As a bartender, you will also be encouraged to upsell items, utilize ingredients and equipment to create recipes, and handle basic cleaning duties.
 
Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Meet state minimum age of 21 years to serve alcoholic beverages


• Positive, engaging personality


• Strong time management and organizational skills


• Knowledge of basic cocktail recipes and techniques


• Ability to stand for long periods of time

Job Duties

• Greeting customers and determining their beverage and food preference


• Mixing of ingredients to follow company recipes


• Checking identification of all patrons to comply with legal drinking requirements


• Adhering to all food and safety regulations


• Handling of cash and credit card transactions


• Maintain a clean work environment throughout your shift


• Alleviate any customer complaints in a calm and professional manner


• Perform job functions according to performance standards


• Report 100% of your tips for each shift
