Battery Energy Storage System Design

Purpose of the job

• To define the roles, responsibilities, authority, and competency requirements of Design Engineer to ensure accurate design in compliance with quality, cost, delivery, and regulatory requirements of the organization’s Quality Management System. Key Accountabilities/Duties & Responsibilities
• Develop 3D part models, assemblies, and layouts using SolidWorks.
• Create accurate 2D manufacturing drawings with proper views, sections, tolerances, and notes.
• Apply GD&T as per ASME / ISO drawing standards.
• Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability, assembly, and cost.
• Perform tolerance stack-up and fitment analysis.
• Design and develop battery modules, packs, racks, and containers for ESS/BESS applications.
• Define battery system architecture including cell selection (LFP / NMC), module configuration,
• Develop 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD tools for mechanical structures and enclosures.
• Support electrical integration of BMS, busbars, fuses, contactors, HV/LV wiring.
