Business Development Manager – Hunter Sales (Data, Cloud, AI/ML, Analytics, Digital Platforms, CRM, IT Transformation Services)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager (Hunter Sales) with 10–15 years of experience in driving net new business acquisition. This role is focused on aggressively expanding our footprint in the India market, selling Data, Cloud, AI/ML, Analytics, Digital Platforms, CRM, and IT Transformation services. The ideal candidate will have strong domain expertise in BFSI, Retail, FMCG, Consumer Goods & Packaged Products (CGP), and Manufacturing, with a proven track record of opening new logos and building fresh revenue streams.
A critical requirement is a well-established connect with CXO-level executives across these industries, enabling high-value enterprise engagements and long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Acquisition
- Hunt and secure net new clients across BFSI, Retail, CGP, FMCG and Manufacturing sectors.
- Prospect through cold calling, networking, and industry events to build a strong pipeline.
- Consistently exceed sales targets by closing large, complex enterprise deals.
Solution Selling
- Position offerings in Data, Cloud, AI/ML, Analytics, Digital Platforms, CRM, and IT Transformation services.
- Deliver consultative sales pitches tailored to client pain points and transformation goals.
- Differentiate solutions by demonstrating ROI and business impact.
CXO Engagement
- Leverage well-established CXO-level connects to initiate and nurture strategic relationships.
- Present compelling value propositions aligned with BFSI, Retail, CGP, and Manufacturing challenges.
- Influence decision-making and secure long-term contracts.
Market Expansion
- Develop go-to-market strategies for IT Transformation services alongside core technology offerings.
- Penetrate untapped accounts and geographies within India.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor moves.
Collaboration
- Partner with presales, delivery, and solution teams to craft winning proposals.
- Work with marketing to design campaigns that generate fresh leads.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 10–15 years in IT sales/business development with a strong focus on hunting and net new business.
- Domain Expertise: BFSI, Retail, CGP, Manufacturing.
- Solution Knowledge: Data platforms, Cloud services, AI/ML, Analytics, Digital Platforms, CRM, and IT Transformation services.
- CXO Network: Must have a well-established connect with CXO-level stakeholders in India across BFSI, Retail, CGP, and Manufacturing.
Sales Skills:
- Pure hunter mindset with ability to break into new accounts.
- Strong pipeline management and deal-closure skills.
- Experience in consultative and solution selling.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
Soft Skills: High energy, self-driven, persuasive communicator, resilient under pressure.
