Job Summary
The Behavioral Health Service Provider will work in the USM Center for Behavioral Health supporting the Screening, Outreach, Assessment, & Resilience (SOAR) Program. The CBH-SOAR Program is a new addition of specialty services in the CBH with the aim to identify and treat Mississippians at risk for developing psychosis or experiencing early psychosis. The Behavioral Health Service Provider will provide clinical services to CBH-SOAR Program clients. This position requires clinical licensure; evidence of meeting the minimum qualifications for licensure must be evident in CV or cover letter. The Behavioral Health Service Provider is a grant-funded position through the Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA; award number H79SM089799).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities


+ Works closely with the Project Director, CBH Director, Program Coordinator, and leadership team to coordinate and provide services to community clients with clinical high risk for psychosis and early psychosis.

+ Establishes and maintains an active clinical caseload including individual sessions as well as group skills-based therapy sessions.

+ Assists clients with getting connected to social services like Medicaid as well as other community resources.

+ Conducts assessments to determine risk of developing psychosis.

+ Develops sharable information about relevant community resources for clients from across the state of Mississippi.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.
