Behavioral Health Technician

Job Description Job Description This position will work at our location in Boulder, CO - it is not a remote position. Choice House is a 12-Step based residential treatment community for men for substance abuse and addiction therapy. The program is 90 days and provides a safe environment for men to build community, find meaning and develop a life in recovery from substances. Behavioral Health Technicians perform services involving milieu management, ensuring daily program schedule adherence, planning and implementation of recreational, therapeutic and educational services. Job Duties Include: Facilitates individual and group therapeutic activities including coaching, milieu management, and case management. Provides feedback to the clinical team in regard to clients level of motivation, participation in group activities and milieu interactions Upholds program rules, guidelines and policies and assists clients in following all rules, guidelines and policies. Provides transportation to and from client appointments Helps to assesses, collaborate and coordinate clients discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge with other members of the clinical team. Obtains urine drug test specimens and breathalyzer tests Maintain safety of the milieu at all times. This includes awareness of client location and high-risk situations Maintain daily program schedule and special events schedule Document shift summary reports and sends via email Follow all requirements when dispensing and/or providing medication to clients Performs light janitorial duties Performs bed checks per shift requirement We have openings for both part time and full-time employees.
