SEMH Support Staff

We’re working with a specialist SEMH academy in the North East and are looking for passionate, resilient individuals to join their team on a long-term basis.

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. You’ll be working in a classroom setting, providing both learning support and emotional and wellbeing support to young people who can present with challenging behaviour.

The role includes:
  • General classroom support
  • Supporting pupils’ emotional regulation and wellbeing
  • Building positive, trusting relationships
  • Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours
  • Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff
  • We’re looking for people who:
  • Are calm, patient and resilient
  • Have experience, or a strong interest, in SEMH or challenging behaviour
