Suit Lounge is a luxury menswear brand based in Chennai, built on precision, permanence, and uncompromising bespoke standards. As we expand into new territories, we are entering a critical phase of growth where execution, discipline, and leadership matter more than scale.
This is not a routine hiring. We are looking for a long-term, strategic addition to our core team — someone who sees expansion not as pressure, but as responsibility; not as change, but as an opportunity to Enhance the systems, standards, and legacy. This role is for an individual who intends to grow with the brand and play a defining role in shaping its next chapter.
Roles & Responsibilities
Own end-to-end production planning for bespoke and made-to-measure menswear, ensuring timely delivery without compromising fit or finish Plan and control daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on order complexity and craftsmanship requirements Manage tailor workload allocation by skill level (cutting, stitching, finishing) to ensure optimal quality and balanced output Oversee and regulate overtime planning , ensuring necessity-driven OT only, with strict quality accountability Supervise cutting operations , including fabric planning, marker efficiency, and zero-error cutting standards Maintain strict control over inventory management — fabrics, linings, canvases, trims, and consumables Track fabric usage against orders and minimize wastage, shrinkage, and misallocation
Implement and enforce quality control (QC) checkpoints at cutting, stitching, finishing, and pre-dispatch stages Identify quality deviations early and correct root causes to reduce rework and alterations
Work closely with master tailors and supervisors to uphold bespoke construction and finishing standards Ensure measurement accuracy, order interpretation clarity, and seamless handover between departments
Maintain workshop discipline, process adherence, and consistent production documentation
Collaborate with leadership to continuously improve production systems and atelier efficiency
Mandatory Requirement: Prior experience working in a bespoke or luxury menswear tailoring brand (bespoke / MTM only — export or mass production experience will not be considered) Patience In handling tailors and masters.
