BESS Network Engineer

Overview

Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects rely on robust, secure, and well-designed communication networks that connect multiple pieces of equipment—including batteries, inverters, EMS, SCADA systems, and remote monitoring interfaces. The BESS Network Engineer is responsible for defining network architecture, implementing cybersecurity best practices, configuring network hardware, and supporting commissioning and operations across project sites.

This role requires hands‑on experience in industrial networking, cybersecurity principles, and supporting utility‑scale or C&I‑scale energy storage deployments.

• Design and document the full network architecture for BESS projects, including communication pathways between battery systems, inverters, controllers, SCADA, EMS, and remote access.
