Summary

Andersen is hiring a BI Developer in the EU. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions, optimizing data models, and ensuring accuracy, consistency, and performance across platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions, including reports, dashboards, and data models.
  • Transforming business requirements into technical BI specifications and data visualizations.
  • Developing and optimizing datasets, semantic models, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and performance across BI solutions.
  • Implementing data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
  • Collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.
  • Supporting BI platforms in production, troubleshooting issues, and improving reliability.
  • Documenting BI logic, data models, metrics, and reporting standards.
  • Requirements

  • Experience as a BI Developer for 2+ years.
  • Strong knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) and experience working with relational databases.
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schemas).
  • Knowledge of KPIs, metrics, and reporting best practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
  • Level of German – from Intermediate+ and above.
  • Desired skills

  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
  • Recognised Professional certifications.
  • Experience with DAX, M Query, or similar transformation languages.
