ABOUT THE ROLE: As a BIM Captain , you will play a key leadership role in developing, maintaining, and advancing our Building Information Modeling (BIM) standards and workflows across projects. You will collaborate closely with Project Managers, Project Captains, and design teams to ensure models are accurate, coordinated, and aligned with firm standards from concept through construction. To thrive in this role, you must be technically strong, detail-oriented, and passionate about mentoring others while continuously improving BIM processes and efficiency. THE HEART OF YOUR ROLE: RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and support BIM execution across all project phases, from planning and design through construction and closeout. Develop, maintain, and enforce firm-wide BIM standards, templates, and best practices. Serve as the primary BIM resource for project teams, troubleshooting complex modeling and coordination issues. Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Captains to ensure models align with project scope, schedule, and deliverables. Coordinate models across disciplines to ensure accuracy, consistency, and clash-free documentation. Mentor and train staff on Revit workflows, modeling standards, and BIM best practices. Assist with BIM-related aspects of proposals, project setup, and project execution plans. Conduct model audits and quality control reviews to ensure compliance with firm and project standards. Support software upgrades, implementation of new tools, and continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in design coordination meetings and attend job sites as needed to support BIM coordination. Hybrid (office/remote) workplace Performance bonuses TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 5 years of experience in an architecture firm or similar environment Advanced proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows Strong understanding of construction documentation and coordination processes Experience developing and enforcing BIM standards and templates Ability to mentor, train, and support production teams Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Willingness to travel for project-related meetings and site visits A college degree is preferred but not required We look forward to hearing from you!
