BIM Lead- MEP

As a BIM Lead for WSP India, you will be working on a large variety of MEP design development and detailed design projects & speacally Proprty & Buildings projects, and be able to manage modelling and coordinate a deciplinary team of BIM modelers, achieving delivery schedules

Responsibilities

• Ensure the implementation of open BIM standards such as (IFC or building SMART), and international standards such as (BS EN ISO 19650)
• Coordinate BIM issues with the supply chain to develop and reinforce standards with the goal of refining Models and deliverables.
• Identify and detect any potential opportunities/risks for the Project or the Team.
• Integrate leading-edge BIM applications including Scheduling, Cost, Asset Management, and O&M programs into the BIM models.
• Report to the Project Management team, Business Unit Leads, and Appointing Party representative in a structured manner. The minimum content should include, but not be limited to: BIM Issue Tracker, Audit Reports from BIM for Design Coordination, in-progress and completed results, and the status of model development according to trade, work breakdown structure identifier (phasing), cost categories, information delivery, and project close-out requirements.
• Assist in defining the Learning and Development requirements within the project supply chain.
• Engage and lead management for BIM Delivery Coordinators.

Responsibilities

• Establish and agree upon a BIM Execution Plan, ensuring on-going compliance and continuous improvement.
• Oversee, coordinate and manage BIM projects and teams.
• Provide internal BIM consultancy for projects.
• Manage processes, implementation, including shared parameters, view ports, sheets, workset associations etc., and manage all best practices and techniques of BIM and related tools.
• Determine, agree upon and ensure the correct standards and naming conventions are followed.
• Ensure smooth collaboration between the India and Singapore BIM teams through BIM 360, Collaboration for Revit.
• Collaborate and coordinate with other disciplines regarding design-changes and model changes;
• Carry out daily/weekly global visual design reviews
• Communicate with the responsible BIM Coordinator/BIM Manager and Engineers to ensure project reporting and delivery.
• Monitor the progress of design to ensure it is according to planned schedule.
• Ensure continuous improvement through trainings to respective Modellers & Self.
• Investigate ways to enhance the companies standings through R&D.
• Export NWC/IFC and other formats for collaboration internally and externally.
• Ensuring all Modellers updates are synced/uploaded to CDE as per an agreed schedule

Key Competencies / Skills

Mandatory Skills

• Have a minimum of 10+yrs experience in BIM modelling on MEP large scale projects, and Buildimngs,Metro Projects
• Knowledge in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM360, Collaboration for Revit, Bentley ProjectWise, and/or be willing to learn the software tools that you may not have working knowledge of.
• Advanced PC skills with the knowledge of all necessary Microsoft products
• Knowledge of basic construction processes and procedures
• Excellent BIM knowledge and interest in working on prestigious MEP design projects
• Successful candidate will possess excellent English verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels
• Be experienced in working collaboratively on a cloud CDE

• Completed a Diploma / Degree in Electrical, Mechanical and have taken various software training certificates
