Job Description

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical BIM Modeler to join our design and engineering team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in CAD to BIM conversion , 3D modeling , and MEP coordination , with hands-on experience in Revit and other BIM tools. The role involves producing high-quality BIM models and drawings in alignment with project standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage 3D MEP models (Mechanical & Electrical) from CAD drawings using Revit .
• Create and modify parametric families up to LOD 500 as per project specifications.
• Perform CAD to BIM conversion efficiently while maintaining accuracy and design intent.
• Coordinate and integrate models across disciplines (Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, and Fire Protection).
• Prepare installation , coordination , and shop drawings from BIM models.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure model accuracy and design consistency.
• Use Navisworks for model review, clash detection, and coordination.
• Maintain quality and standards in all BIM deliverables as per company and client guidelines.
• Stay updated with industry standards, BIM trends, and technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in BIM modeling (Mechanical and/or Electrical).
• Proficient in Revit MEP , AutoCAD , and Navisworks .
• Strong understanding of LOD levels , BIM execution plans , and stakeholder requirements .
• Familiarity with building services systems — HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Fire Protection .
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with international BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650, AIA, or BS/EN).
• Knowledge of Dynamo or other BIM automation tools is an advantage.
• Exposure to clash detection , model coordination meetings , and documentation workflows .
