Hiring for a global infrastructure firm headquartered in Dallas, Texas, providing professional services like planning, design, engineering, and construction management across transportation, buildings, water, energy, and environmental sectors. The Fortune 500 company collaborates with public and private clients to create sustainable and resilient infrastructure solutions, from iconic buildings like the Burj Khalifa to major transport projects such as the Panama Canal expansion and the Kochi Water Metro.
Key Responsibilities:
Model Creation & Management: Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to integrate different models and resolve design conflicts.
Quality Control: Ensure models comply with industry standards, project specifications, and the project's BIM Execution Plan. Documentation: Produce plans, sections, elevations, details, and other documentation from the 3D models.
Clash Detection & Resolution: Perform clash detection using BIM software to identify and resolve design conflicts before construction.
Data Extraction: Extract information and quantities from models to support project processes.
Technical Support: Provide technical support and assistance to project teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
: Proficient in 3D BIM modeling software such as Revit, Navisworks, and others. Design Software Knowledge: Familiarity with related software like AutoCAD is a bonus. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of architectural, structural, and MEP systems. Collaboration & Communication: Strong collaborative approach and good English language communication skills. Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to ensure accuracy and integrity of the models. Education: A degree or certification in a related field like engineering, architecture, or BIM is often required. Experience: Proven experience in BIM modeling and creating detailed 3D models.
