Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical BIM Specialist - Mechanical to join our team in Mumbai, India. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing Building Information Models for mechanical systems, ensuring efficient and accurate representation of HVAC and other mechanical components in building projects.
Develop and maintain 3D BIM models for mechanical systems using Autodesk Revit MEP and other relevant software
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs into overall building models
Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts between mechanical systems and other building components
Create detailed shop drawings and construction documents from BIM models
Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and company BIM protocols
Participate in project meetings and coordinate with clients, architects, and contractors
Continuously improve BIM processes and workflows for mechanical systems
Provide technical support and guidance to team members on BIM-related issues
Stay updated on the latest BIM technologies and best practices in mechanical engineering
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
3-5 years of experience in BIM for mechanical systems
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks, and other relevant BIM software
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and HVAC design principles
Experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) design
Excellent 3D modeling and visualization skills
Familiarity with industry standards and building codes relevant to mechanical systems
BIM certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) preferred
Additional Information
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Experience with clash detection and conflict resolution in BIM projects
Knowledge of sustainable design practices and energy-efficient mechanical systems
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
