BIM Technician - Electrical

Description

To work as part of our Services Team to provide CAD/BIM support to engineering projects. The successful candidate‘s role will be as an MEP Revit Modeler within the WSP in India office producing BIM models and detailed engineering designs and construction drawings. Candidate can expect to be active on a number of projects at any given time. He/She will report to Team leader in Project functionally and reporting to Line manager operationally.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate‘s role will be as an MEP Revit Modeler within the WSP in India office producing BIM models and detailed engineering designs and construction drawings. Candidate can expect to be active on a number of projects at any given time. He/She will report to Team leader in Project functionally and reporting to Line manager operationally.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical engineering is preferred in addition to Draughting qualifications.
• 5+ year‘s production experience in design, drafting and engineering with significant experience in a similar role or demonstration of a good track record
• Minimum 3 years‘ experience with BIM MEP.
• Experience in the use of the following software is essential:
• BIM MEP
• AutoCAD (2D and 3D)
• Navisworks
• Experience in the use of the following software is desirable but not essential:
• Autodesk 3ds MAX
• MS Excel
• MS Word
• The candidate must:
• Have good English communication skills
• Be able to work closely with colleagues at a senior level.
• Be computer literate.
• Must have good working knowledge of Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spread sheets, e-mail, web-enabled applications and database software.
• Ability to plan and manage his/her workload Lateral thinking
• Ability to understand own limitations and limitations of the software being used
