Bioinformatics Manager (at the rank of Technical Manager) in Bioinformatics Core of the Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) (Ref.: 534361) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

The Role

  • Assist the Core Manager with daily operations, strategic planning, and service development

  • Lead and deliver bioinformatics analyses for high-throughput sequencing and multi-omics projects

  • Supervise, train, and mentor junior bioinformaticians and research staff

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise reproducible analysis pipelines and workflows

  • Provide expert consultation to researchers on study design, analysis, and data interpretation
