Job Description
**Position Objective:** The Biologist shall provide services in support of the overall functions of the Laboratory of Bacteriology (LB), Division of Intramural Research (DIR) - RML, Hamilton, MT
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Support highly collaborative research in high-containment BSL-3 facilities includingBurkholderia pseudomallei, Coxiella burnetii, and other priority pathogens.
+ Perform a wide variety of complex experimental procedures involving sterile cell culture techniques such as passaging, cryopreservation, maintenance, etc. of eukaryotic primary and established cell lines.
+ Maintain general lab upkeep, such as updating biospecimen repository databases for clinical specimens or lab-derived samples, maintain sample transfer and removal logs, maintain records for BSL-3 for lab users.
+ Perform lab research work in ABSL/BSL-3 laboratories, able to complete necessary training and testing for Biosurety clearance.
