Job Description

Job Title: BIW Design Engineer - Unigraphics/Sheetmetal

Responsibilities

  • Design and modify sheet metal parts based on manufacturing, packaging, styling, and CAE inputs.
  • Support body engineering in delivering design projects.
  • Create parametric surface models of closure parts, including outer and inner skin/reinforcement parts, per packaging requirements and design standards.
  • Ensure compliance with DVP&R and DFMEA through virtual analysis in collaboration with the CAE team.
  • Apply knowledge of forming/manufacturability and assembly.
  • Utilize GD&T knowledge and apply it to components and assemblies.

Essential Skills

  • 3-6 years of experience with BIW structures, side wall, body upper part design, and joining techniques.
  • Proficiency in UGNX software.
  • Strong understanding of BIW, sheetmetal, and unigraphics.
