Job Description:

Blackstone is seeking an Associate to work closely with our investment and asset allocation teams to manage and strengthen relationships with key institutional clients. Core relationship management will include:

· Helping to manage Blackstone’s cross-firm effort to serve key institutional clients

· Reviewing and monitoring multi-asset class portfolios by collaborating with investment and asset allocation teams

· Driving content creation and delivery of periodic portfolio insights in partnership with investment professionals and management team(s) at insurance clients

· Anticipating and coordinating responses for ad-hoc questions from institutional clients

· Establishing strong working relationships across investment, legal, operations and finance teams firmwide to deliver the best of Blackstone to insurance clients

Qualifications:

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The successful candidate should have:

· Basic understanding of portfolio construction, fixed income and credit investment

· Strong experience across Microsoft Office applications (including Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

· Excellent judgment and interpersonal skills

· Works effectively in a group setting to achieve shared goals and is willing to collaborate with colleagues across the Firm

· Strong project management skills and organization

· Ability to effectively communicate and differentiate the Blackstone value proposition and role it can serve in general insurance portfolio construction

· An entrepreneurial spirit with enthusiasm to learn and take initiative to get projects done

· Self-motivated and resourceful; able to multi-task and focus on delivering results an entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving and a desire to continuously learn and grow
