I'm working on recreating an old game (originally developed around 2003) using a modern game engine, and I'm looking for an experienced Blender artist / technical 3D artist to help modernize and optimize the original game models.
The assets already exist, but they were built using outdated modeling, rigging, and pipeline practices. The goal is not just to import them, but to clean, update, and prepare them to meet current game development standards.
What needs to be done:
Import legacy game models into Blender
Clean up outdated or inefficient topology
Optimize meshes for modern real-time rendering
Fix, rebuild, or modernize skeletons (bones & rigs) using current best practices
Remove legacy workflows and unnecessary complexity
Slightly improve visual quality (adding polygons only where it makes sense)
Keep everything game-ready and performance-friendly
Prepare assets for use in a modern game engine (Unity / Unreal-style pipelines)
