Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned Engineer, IT Merchandising with expertise in Blue Yonder Category Management / Blue Yonder Space Planning (formerly JDA) to design, development, and implement merchandising solutions. The ideal candidate will play a role in optimizing space planning, category management, and overall merchandising strategies to enhance business performance and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, Develop, Test & Maintain:
Design, develop, test, and maintain Blue Yonder Category Management Products (Space Planning, Floor Planning, Category Knowledge Base, Category Knowledge Server, Web Publisher, Console, Open Access Open Access API, planogram generator, JDA Open Access-Cognos Integration and Space Automation Pro)
Expertise in Product Design, Installations, Configuration and Dot Net
Develop scalable and efficient system configurations, ensuring alignment with business needs and industry best practices.
Integrate Blue Yonder solutions with existing systems
Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, inventory, IT, and operations, to gather and document business requirements.
Translate business needs into technical specifications and actionable project plans.
Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing insights into Blue Yonder capabilities and recommending optimal use cases.
System Implementation & Optimization:
Implement, configure, and test Blue Yonder Space Planning tools.
Optimize planograms, fixture designs, and space utilization strategies to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
Ensure seamless integration with category management and other merchandising tools.
Performance Analysis & Reporting:
Develop and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of space planning and merchandising strategies.
Analyze system performance and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
Experience:
6+ years of experience in merchandising, category management, or space planning, with at least 5 years in Blue Yonder Space Planning (or JDA).
Proven experience in designing and implementing Blue Yonder solutions in retail or e-commerce industries.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in Blue Yonder Space Planning, including planogram development, floor planning, and reporting.
Expertise in Asp. Net, C#. Net and Web API’s
Strong understanding of database structures, APIs, and integration methods.
Proficiency in SQL, scripting, and troubleshooting system configurations.
Preferred Attributes:
Certification in Blue Yonder Space Planning is a plus.
Experience in retail-specific data analytics and visualization tools
