Job Description
Design, analyze and/or evaluate specific engineering requirements. Develop basic sketches and/or directions for various applications as required.
Obtain and develop data for and prepare specifications, test procedures, safety reports and purchase-related documents.Review, analyze, and report on supplier, architect-engineer and consortium partner drawings and proposals and make recommendations on specific technical areas.Consult with appropriate engineering functions to insure design criteria is suitable for the application and advise those concerned of changes required. Prepare or lead the preparation of technical documents. Assist less experienced engineers and technicians on specific technical problems.Carry out basic economic studies for bid purposes.Participate in various internal meetings May perform lead function in achieving engineering schedule, hours and technical quality. Prepare instructions and supplemental information for lower level engineers.Identify and process changes that impact contract margin.Engage in domestic and/or international travel as required.
