Role Overview

As a detailed orientated bookkeeping professional, you will be primarily responsible for providing support to a client base consisting of mostly family office groups. 

  • Prepare draft accounts and financial reporting packs
  • Perform account reconciliations across multiple entities, including trusts, companies, and SMSFs
  • Assist with the preparation and review ATO compliance obligations such as BAS, IAS, and PAYG
  • Recording transactions such as sales, purchases, receipts, and payments
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable
  • Maintaining accurate financial records
  • Liaise with external accountants for year-end financials, tax lodgments, and compliance matters
  • Respond to ad hoc client reporting requests and information needs

Skills & Experience

  • Possess relevant industry qualifications and bring solid professional experience;
  • Demonstrate a proactive, personable approach to stakeholder engagement and client service;
  • Be motivated to find smarter, more efficient ways of working, with a keen interest in leveraging technology;
  • Maintain strong attention to detail while keeping a strategic, big-picture mindset;
  • Manage your time effectively and understand the importance of meeting deadlines or communicating proactively if delays arise;
  • Work well independently, while also being a collaborative and supportive team member;
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing;
  • Above all, handle confidential client information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
  • CA/CPA highly regarded
