Bookkeeper

A great opportunity with a small established firm Your new company We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage client accounts from initial bookkeeping through to trial balance and ensure compliance with Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements. This role involves working closely with clients to maintain accurate financial records, prepare VAT returns, and transition clients to digital accounting platforms. Your new role Maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients. Record all financial transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments. Prepare accounts up to trial balance, including journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and depreciation. Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes. Assist in the preparation of management accounts when required. Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC guidelines.
