About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing team in Chennai. In this role, you will be part of our Chennai-based outsourcing team, working closely with our UK counterparts to deliver high-quality financial support. You’ll handle daily bookkeeping functions, support monthly reporting, and communicate with UK clients—all while being trained on UK accounting systems and expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports
• Perform daily bookkeeping: bank reconciliations, A/P, A/R, and payroll support
• Record journal entries and ensure compliance with UK accounting standards
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings
• Use cloud-based accounting software like Xero and QuickBooks
• Liaise with UK clients and accountants in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain organized digital records and uphold internal process standards

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3 years of experience in bookkeeping and financial reporting
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and journal entries
• Hands-on experience with accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks preferred)
• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal & written)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CA Inter / ACCA / CPA certification is a plus
