The Role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented and experienced Bookkeeper / Senior Processor to join our remote team. In this role, you will deliver cloud‑based, full‑charge bookkeeping services to a diverse portfolio of over 50 small business clients. You will manage day‑to‑day financial transactions, reconciliations, and journal entries, while providing excellent customer service through consistent communication and support.

Location: Must be in Colombia – Remote.

Environment: Colombian and International Teams.

Language: Advanced English (B2+ – C1).

Timezone: Monday to Friday – 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST.

Contract: Non‑fixed Term Colombian Contract.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in bookkeeping or accounting, ideally in a multi‑client or remote environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial record‑keeping.
  • Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop (Pro, Premier, or Enterprise) and QuickBooks Online.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in additional accounting software such as Xero, NetSuite, or Sage.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with payroll processing and tax reporting is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or team coordination role.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience in bookkeeping or accounting).

Experience

  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial processing roles.
  • Proven experience managing multiple clients simultaneously in a fast‑paced, remote or outsourced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering full‑charge bookkeeping services, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
  • Prior experience working with U.S.‑based clients or international teams is highly desirable.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full‑cycle, outsourced bookkeeping for 50+ small business clients using cloud‑based accounting software.
  • Respond to daily client and intercompany inquiries regarding financial data and reports.
  • Ensure accuracy in data entry and transaction categorization across all accounts.

Financial Transactions & Reconciliations

  • Record and allocate daily transactions into accounting software, including manual data entry when necessary.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable regularly and accurately.
  • Create journal entries and ensure proper documentation of all financial adjustments.

Customer Service & Communication

  • Deliver responsive and professional client service, addressing financial questions and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Maintain proactive and consistent communication with clients and internal teams to build strong relationships.
  • Support cross‑functional collaboration to resolve issues and ensure a smooth client experience.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Assist in identifying discrepancies in financial records and proactively resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant, and confidential financial records in line with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy in bookkeeping operations.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior team members as needed.
  • Work independently while contributing to a collaborative and high‑performance team culture.
