Brake Engineer

Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Brake Engineer for a contract role with one of our customers located in Geelong. In this role you will be working in a dynamic global environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the design and development of brake system components ensuring compliance with safety performance cost and timing requirements.
• Develop and validate designs using Ford-specific tools such as Design Rules SDS and Attachment A ensuring alignment with global standards.
• Apply reliability and robustness tools (FMEA RRCL P-Diagrams ) to ensure high-quality durable designs.
• Manage projects from concept to production coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional teams across design testing and manufacturing.
• Utilize WERS Digital Buck and eFDVS for component release 3D design review and performance validation.
