About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager-WA, the Branch Manager will focus on delivering sustainable growth for the branch through operational excellence, commercial discipline, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

The Branch Manager will manage and monitor profit and loss (P&L) for the branch through balancing clients’ requirements, team mobilisation and operational execution. The Branch Manager is responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams to achieve branch performance targets in alignment with ARI’s business performance goals. The role will take the lead in aligning people, processes, and resources — driving a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities

Lead and manage the branch operations to achieve financial, safety, and operational targets.

Lead and develop a high‑performing, branch team, technicians, and support staff, fostering engagement, and safety.

Develop and execute annual business plans aligned with ARI’s national strategy, incorporating operational targets, growth initiatives, and risk mitigation measures.

Identify opportunities for business growth, diversification, and improved market penetration.

Define, track and report on branch‑specific KPIs relating to utilisation, turnaround time and growth.

Manage and monitor branch financial performance — including revenue and working capital — in line with company objectives.

Manage budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and margin improvement initiatives to ensure sustainable profitability.

KPI ownership: Define, track and report on branch‑specific KPIs relating to utilisation, turnaround time and growth.

Drive commercial performance through margin management, pricing strategies, and efficient service delivery.

Provide monthly reports on branch performance, key metrics, and improvement opportunities.

Operational Excellence

Oversee end‑to‑end branch operations across service delivery, scheduling, equipment management, and administration to ensure efficiency, technical quality, and compliance with with NATA, ASME, ISO, and other relevant standards.

Ensure adequate resourcing (staff, equipment, materials) to meet client project requirements.

Lead incident investigations, drive continuous improvement, and safeguard ARI’s assets.

Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team including technicians, supervisors, and support staff.

Promote a positive safety culture, high engagement, and professional development pathways.

Manage workforce planning, recruitment, performance reviews, and succession planning.

Chair monthly toolbox talks and team meetings.

Client Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to ensure service excellence, customer retention, and business growth.

Ensure excellent customer service and client satisfaction through proactive engagement and delivery of high‑quality services.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure all operations comply with statutory requirements including Work Health & Safety (WHS), environmental regulations, and company policies.

Manage operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect people, assets, and reputation.

Experience and Skill Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ experience in leading operational teams within NDT, inspection, or asset reliability services, or comparable technical industries.

Demonstrated experience in P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and delivering to financial targets.

Strong understanding of NATA accreditation, ASME, ISO, and other relevant compliance frameworks.

Experience in business planning, resource allocation, and operational improvement initiatives.

Experience in implementing safety, quality, and risk management systems in line with statutory and industry requirements.

Strong communication and client relationship skills with the ability to represent the organisation professionally at all levels.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare accurate reports, deliver presentations, and build alignment across stakeholders.
