Your role, your entry point at AFRY 

As a Bridge Engineer at AFRY, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects in that will make a real impact. Through the Design Center you will collaborate with a team of highly skilled professionals in Sweden and play a pivotal role in delivering innovative solutions for our clients. It is important that you are a team player that like to work in teams with different competences and that you are curious and eager to learn new things.

At AFRY you will work with structural design of bridges and other civil engineering structures.

Your key responsibilities

  • Structural calculations of steel and concrete structures
  • Load bearing calculations of existing bridges
  • FE-modelling
  • Writing design reports

    • Qualifications

    We expect that you have

  • or in Civil Engineering.
  • +5 years of relevant experience of structural calculations in the area of bridges/civil engineering
  • Good written and verbal English language (CEFR minimum level B1).

    • We appreciate if you have

  • Experience of working with the Swedish Transport Administration
  • Experience from load bearing calculations of existing bridges
  • Experience of working abroad, especially projects in the Nordics
  • Experience from Tekla, AutoCad, Grasshopper and Sofistik
