Bridge Operator

U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated building maintenance services company, is seeking a Bridge Operator to work the 2pm-10pm shift in the Newport News, VA area. The Bridge Operator is responsible for and operates one or more drawbridges; does other related duties. Specific duties include but are not limited to: Qualifications: • Bridge Tenders shall have experience with equipment used to operate the bridge. • Tenders must be able to operate electrically operated bridge and traffic control devices, signaling devices, safety equipment, emergency power generators, and radios. • Must be able to correctly read and interpret a variety of gauges, meters and indicators used to provide the status of the various bridge operating systems. • Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write the English language. • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. • Have a valid driver license. • Physically fit, must be able to climb stairs and ladders. • Pass a background check. • Must be familiar...
