Responsibilities

:
  • Manage and supervise the Boise Bridge Design Section including staff utilization, profitability, growth and marketing, talent management, coaching and mentoring.
  • Plan, manage, execute and deliver complex transportation related structural engineering design projects on-time, on budget, and to the performance expectations of the client
  • Create and monitor scopes of work and budgets for various bridge and highway structure projects for ITD, LHTAC, ACHD and/or local agencies
  • Work with office manager to support the growth of the Boise office and other Pacific Northwest offices
  • Monitor all financial aspects of the project including invoicing, budget status, accounts receivable, and monthly reports
  • Develop and implement business development growth plan for the bridge design section including client relations and proposal development
  • Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program
  • Professional Engineer registration is required
  • 8 years of related bridge design experience preferred
  • Microsoft Office and CAD software proficiency required. MicroStation and Open Roads design software proficiency required.
  • Proficiency in ProjectWise and AASHTOWare Project are a plus; experience and proficiency with bridge design and analysis software such as LEAP concrete, MIDAS, BrM, and BrR are preferred
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills with experience maintaining client relationships
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
  • Experience mentoring and coaching staff and ability to closely collaborate with other disciplines and offices
  • Steel and concrete design experience required; prestressed concrete design and finite element analysis experience are a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
