Job Title: Broadcast Engineer

Role Overview
Republic Media is looking for a skilled Broadcast Engineer to handle installation, configuration, maintenance, and technical support for all broadcast systems across Studios, PCR, CAR, MCR, Ingest, and Link Room. The role requires real-time troubleshooting during live and recorded shows, ensuring smooth, error-free transmission in coordination with editorial and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
Studio Operations
- Provide technical support for studio equipment including cameras, audio units, wall controllers, and lighting consoles.
- Ensure all studio systems run smoothly during live and recorded shoots.
PCR (Production Control Room)
- Support end users on video switchers, audio mixers, recorders/players, graphics systems, communication systems, servers, teleprompters, and multiviewers.
- Manage any real-time issues without interrupting production flow.
MCR (Master Control Room)
- Handle master control switchers, routers, recorders, automation, and graphics systems.
- Maintain seamless broadcast output and manage any on-air technical concerns.
Maintenance
- Regular preventive and corrective maintenance of all broadcast equipment installed across the facility.
- Maintain logs, escalate issues when required, and ensure all systems remain updated and operational.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of broadcast systems and signal flow.
- Hands-on experience in studio, PCR, and MCR environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot in high-pressure, live broadcast scenarios.
- Good coordination skills with editorial and operational teams.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in broadcast engineering.
