Broadcast Operations Technician

WCVB, the ABC affiliate in Boston has an opening for an experienced part-time Broadcast Operations Technician. The Broadcast Operations Technician maintains the technical integrity of the station's on-air signals and its equipment from acquisition to distribution. Prior experience as a Technical Director operating a switcher for live newscasts is desirable. You will support all station efforts in-house and on remote productions. This position is part of the IBEW union and you will report to the Technical Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Technical Directing using a Sony 8000 video switcher with video and graphics playback


• Operate various technical positions including robotic cameras, lighting and audio consoles in control room and on remote productions


• Master Control operations and Air Assist functions across multiple broadcast platforms
