The opportunity
An Assistant Manager will lead teams of Analysts and Seniors and be responsible for client service delivery for a particular geography, area or specialization. Reporting in to a Manager or Senior Manager, they will assist the management team in developing and coaching team members as well as ensuring that resources are deployed effectively
Your key responsibilities
Demonstrate a very high level of proficiency in tax technical knowledge relevant to individual, trust and partnership returns; demonstrate an understanding of more complex technical issuesDrive the tax return production process, review complex tax returns and other tax deliverablesEstablish and maintain long-term relationships with the clients and internal colleaguesExplore opportunities to bring more work to the GDS and to EY by consistently providing high quality workSupervise day to day operations and engagement milestones with little or no manager involvementDemonstrate leadership skills in developing the highest performing teamsHelp Senior Managers and Managers with advisory and ad-hoc projectsDevelop engagement and financial management skills by managing own and/or other’s impact on project economics, including controlling costs, monitoring budget to actual differencesContribute process improvement ideas leading to higher quality service delivery to the client or greater efficiency in the compliance processIdentify opportunities to leverage information and resources across assignments and teams People responsibilities
