Job Description

This position is responsible for providing coordination and technical support of Industry 4.0 solutions for the MES Systems within C-Power Americas production entities.

Responsibilities

  • Digital & IS support for Industry 4.0 projects is executed as planned within budget and with deliverables met
  • 4.0 projects are designed and meet requirements established by Operations and Quality teams.
  • 4.0 systems to plants are executed with minimal impact to plant operations
  • 4.0 functions are integrated with ERP/MES and provide KPIs which support management of operations
  • Key users are well trained and supported after go live
  • Develop training materials as needed to support proper use of the MES systems in the plants.
  • Support of the plant Traceability and Digital systems
  • Provide key user trainings and user guide when needed
  • Perform acceptance / integration / non regression testing together with core team and key users
  • Write & perform functional test cases consistent with test scenarios
  • Monitor and guide the key user test and user acceptance test, fix and follow up defects and troubles
  • Participate project meetings and update project status accordingly
  • Basic Task or requirements
  • Industry 4.0 roadmap support
    • Collaborate with 4.0 BPO on road map development for projects
    • Support study of feasibility and integration for 4.0 solutions
    • Collaborate with BPO to complete the specifications compliance with the solution
    • Align roadmap with global Digital & IS roadmaps
  • MES Software Deployments
    • Participate in the gap analysis of solutions
    • Provide technical support and development for deployment and integration
    • Coordinate activity between Digital & IS and Industrial engineering teams
    • Write & perform functional test cases consistent with test scenarios
    • Perform the tests & monitor the ones carried out by key-users
    • Support training in collaboration with BPO
    • Deliver training for local plant team
  • Industry 4.0 support
    • Provide support to implemented solutions coordinating through local Digital & IS team
    • Coordinate support as needed from global teams and suppliers
  • Ordinary IT Tasks
    • Provide support or collaborate with other business application teams in the region as needed when integration of system and troubleshooting
    • Other duties as assigned
  • Must successfully complete all PLASTIC OMNIUM required training
  • Must comply with all work rules, policies and procedures

ORGANIZATION

  • Helpdesk ticket backlog and resolution timeliness;
  • Development/enhancement delivery on time;
  • Documentation up-to-date;
  • Training to BPOs

Personal Background

  • Bachelor Degree required
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years manufacturing / automotive industry experience required
  • In depth understanding of shop floor IT infrastructure (servers, networks, PLC, OPC, etc.)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in project management

Skills And Abilities

  • Hands on experience with OPC servers
  • Understanding of industrial connection (RS232, Ethernet, ...)
  • Basic Understanding of PLC (Siemens)
  • Experience with software development
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process
  • Experience with SQL, BS structure
  • Demonstrated ability managing complex IS&S infrastructure projects within time and budgets
  • Customer Orientation in working with project stakeholders
  • Must be flexible, dependable and creative
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must be able to manage time to deadlines and determine priorities
  • At ease and effective in a matrix, multicultural and fast evolving environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment within tight time constraints
