Building Compliance Officer – Pool & Building Safety
Location - Officer and surrounding suburbs
Start Date - 2nd Feb 2026
End Date - 1st May 2026
Hourly Rate - $39 - $48 + super per hour
Join a dynamic local government team as a Pool Inspector supporting the delivery of building regulatory services and helping keep the community safe. This role focuses on pool and spa safety, building compliance, inspections, and assisting with enforcement activities under the Building Act and Regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pool/spa barrier inspections and maintain safety compliance.
- Assist with investigations into illegal or unsafe building works.
- Prepare reports, evidence, and statements to support enforcement.
- Provide technical advice to residents and internal teams.
- Support continuous improvement of building control processes.
About You
- Diploma in Building Surveying (essential).
- Registration as a Pool Inspector (preferred).
- Experience in building surveying, compliance, or regulatory roles.
- Strong knowledge of the Building Act, Regulations, and BCA.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills.
- Current Victorian driver’s licence.
