Building Operating Engineer â Third Shift Role:
Our client is seeking a Building Operating Engineer (Third Shift) to support overnight operations at a large, Class A commercial office property. This position is responsible for the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of base building systems during overnight hours, ensuring system reliability, regulatory compliance, and responsive tenant service.
Senior Chief Engineer Background Profile:
2+ years of experience as an Operating Engineer or similar role in a commercial office building environment
Experience supporting Class A or large-scale commercial properties preferred
Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BAS, and life-safety systems
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and safety documentation
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS platforms
Ability to safely operate hand and power tools, meters, and testing equipment
