Job Description
Business Analyst Contract Role
Fantastic opportunity for an experienced and process-driven BA with a passion for Sales & Marketing transformation. Must be available to jump into an exciting new role immediately.
- $650 - $750 inclusive per day
- Preston-based hybrid working
- Immediate start 6 months contract + extension potential
THE COMPANY
Our client, a powerhouse in the Australian retail sector, is embarking on a high-stakes business initiative designed to revolutionise workflow technology and organisational alignment.
Unlike many back-office IT projects, this program sits directly within the Sales & Marketing business area. This is a direct revenue engine that drives eCommerce growth and retail sales uplift.
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst who thrives in fast-paced, "live" environments where their work directly impacts the bottom line.
THE ROLE
As a BA on the program, you won't just be documenting requirements; you will be the bridge between visionary marketing strategies and technical execution. You will facilitate workshops, refine backlogs, and translate complex business needs into functional specifications.
- L3 Process Modelling: Capture and document future-state processes at a task level (Level 3) from user stories and workshops.
- Elicitation & Documentation: Facilitate workshops to gather requirements, document SOPs, data flows, and mock-ups.
- Solution Validation: Ensure technical designs align with business needs and organisational goals.
- UAT Orchestration: Coordinate and assist with UAT planning and execution.
- Data Analysis: Use advanced Excel skills to design and interpret executive-level reports and perform data validation.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you need to be comfortable with ambiguity and have a "consultant" mindset. You should be someone who can walk into a room of busy marketing and sales executives and leave with a clear, validated process map.
- Proven BA Expertise: Solid experience delivering business projects as well as IT-focused projects.
- Process Mapping Guru: Advanced proficiency in Visio (BPMN 2.0 highly desirable).
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage and influence stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, and Executive teams.
- Technical Literacy: Familiarity with DevOps, requirements traceability, and backlog refinement.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify gaps and validate complex solutions.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication—you can translate "business-speak" into technical specifications effortlessly.
