Job Description – Business Analyst (Printer Domain)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong Printer domain expertise to support product and platform initiatives across the printer ecosystem. The ideal candidate will work closely with product, engineering, firmware, and services teams to define requirements, optimize processes, and ensure successful delivery aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a domain Business Analyst for printer-related products and platforms, bridging business needs and technical execution.
- Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements across the printer ecosystem, including hardware, firmware, drivers, supplies, and services.
- Collaborate with product managers, firmware teams, driver teams, and MPS teams to support solution design and delivery.
- Define functional workflows and integration requirements across printer hardware, firmware, drivers, and cloud applications.
- Support initiatives related to Managed Print Services (MPS), device lifecycle management, and enterprise print solutions.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization using data from device usage, print volumes, and consumables metrics.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, UAT support, and release validation activities.
- Ensure solutions align with business goals, operational efficiency, and customer experience outcomes.
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the printer / imaging domain.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of printer product ecosystems, including:
- Printer hardware and firmware interaction
- Print drivers and OS compatibility (Windows, mac OS, Linux)
- Ink/Toner lifecycle and supply chain concepts
- Managed Print Services (MPS) and device lifecycle management
- Experience working with or integrating printer software platforms and enterprise print solutions.
- Solid understanding of metrics such as:
- Device utilization
- Print volume
- Consumables usage and replenishment
- Ability to translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements.
