About the department

The GSC&BD GBS unit is in Bengaluru, India, with our headquarters in Denmark. We are focused on consolidating supply chain activities and driving performance improvement. As part of the Global Operational Planning team, our role involves continuous improvement of our operational planning processes and systems to ensure a balanced supply plan on a global scale. The atmosphere is dynamic and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on teamwork.

The position

As a Business Analyst at Novo Nordisk, you will:

Support & Monitor Daily Planning Activities:

  • Support and monitor daily planning activities and KPIs in GBS.
  • Provide support to SCI in offshored planning processes.
  • Production and Purchase Planning:

  • Create and maintain production and purchase plans.
  • Maintain planning-relevant Master Data and evaluate its quality.
  • Report on planning performance and evaluate transactional data quality.
  • Order Management:

  • Evaluate and process new Sales Orders/Process Orders for capacity and feasibility.
  • Confirm orders and ensure timely communication regarding delays or stock level impacts.
  • Collaborate with local Flow Managers and Country Supply Chain Responsible.
  • Master Data Management:

  • Maintain and evaluate planning-relevant Master Data.
  • Provide corrections and engage with stakeholders to ensure data quality.
  • Support Onshore Teams:

  • Conduct regular meetings with onshore teams.
  • Provide planning reports, ad hoc analysis, and support for process transitions.
  • Performance Reporting and Improvement:

  • Log root causes for deviations in production or purchase plans.
  • Investigate and present preventive/mitigating actions to handle deviations.
  • Continuously improve processes within your area of responsibility.
  • Qualifications:

    We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • Masters/Bachelors within supply chain management, production or mechanical (or equivalent) from a well-recognised institute

  • Extensive Experience in Planning & Support: Over 6–8 years of hands-on experience in planning and support functions, including managing offshored planning processes.

  • Data Analysis & Processing Skills: Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and process complex data for decision-making and operational efficiency.

  • Supply Chain Expertise: Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain concepts—Plan, Make, Source, Deliver, Return—and related master data management.

  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with practical experience in SAP ECC/R3; knowledge of OMP is an added advantage.

  • ERP & Planning Tools Experience: Proven capability in leveraging ERP systems and planning tools to optimize supply chain operations and support business objectives.
