Job Title: Business Analyst / Data Analyst
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months
Rate: $75/hr W2 (No Benefits)
Interview: Second round onsite – no exceptions

Overview:
Seeking a senior Business Analyst/Data Analyst to support the Wealth Management Monitoring team within Non-Financial Risk Technology. The role focuses on business analysis, data analysis, and project delivery for compliance and surveillance platforms supporting Risk and Compliance functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements (BRDs, Agile user stories, POCs).

  • Perform data analysis to identify gaps and partner with cross-functional teams on solutions.

  • Liaise with development teams to ensure accurate delivery against requirements.

  • Design, write, and execute BDD and UAT test plans.

  • Manage project plans, timelines, and risks; escalate issues as needed.

  • Lead stakeholder communication and mentor junior team members.

  • Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in global organizations.

  • Strong data analysis skills with hands-on SQL and relational databases.

  • Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

  • Experience with trade lifecycles and asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income, Options, Futures).

  • Knowledge of compliance surveillance platforms (Actimize, MANTAS, SunGard, SMARTS).

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Preferred:

  • IT Project Management experience (Agile/Waterfall).

  • Experience with large-scale development initiatives.

  • Knowledge of trades, positions, and reference data.
