PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:

This person will be responsible for diverse data analytics tasks including relevant data gathering and management, predictive modeling and conducting other statistical analyses

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Analytics

  • Build solid analytical research plans recommending ideal data models based on good understanding of business goals and data availability
  • Conduct various exploratory analyses of primary and secondary data using analytical tools such as R, Python, or SPSS to identify statistically meaningful insights
  • Generate insightful stories after uncovering meaningful patterns from available data with easy-to-understand summary of findings in PowerBI, PowerPoint or Excel
  • Database Development & Management

  • Develop and manage external market indicator database for diverse business dashboards & analyses
  • Drive improvement and standardization across the company in knowledge base, processes, analysis, and data presentation
  • Build and manage database of internal tracking research data
  • Business Forecasting & Reporting

  • Develop forecasting models for multiple business units, collaborating with internal client teams on data retrieval and model development
  • Continuously enhance the forecasting models by exploring further external and internal data and new model designs
  • Develop effective report designs and continuously improve them for internal users
  • Process Automation for Data Processing & Visualization

  • Develop automation process from data analysis to visualization for frequently produced deliverables
  • Other Responsibilities

  • Perform data cleaning, analysis, and presentation design for other ad hoc analysis
  • Gather and analyze various types of structured and unstructured data to enable in-depth market/customer analysis.
  • JOB CRITERIA:

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g. statistics, data science, mathematics or related) is required
  • Master’s degree in a technical field (e.g. statistics, data science, mathematics or related) is preferred, but not required
  • 5+ years of analytical work experience required
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and analytics tools required
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency with analytical tools (e.g. SAS/SPSS, R, Python, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of analytical models (e.g. predictive modeling, decision tree, etc.)
  • Experiences in database management preferred
  • Experiences in text analytics preferred
  • MS Excel / PowerPoint – Advanced analysis, reporting, formatting, data manipulation and presentation
  • Ability to communicate analytical results in a clear and understandable manner utilizing methods appropriate to various forums
  • Effective working cross functionally in a geographically dispersed global organization
  • Achievement-oriented and willing to put forth a high level of effort to produce results in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively adapt to or initiate change
  • Comprehensive verbal and written communication skills
  • Manages ad-hoc request queue and effectively prioritizes work based on business value

    WORKING CONDITIONS : Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.

    Much of the work will be in a normal office environment. The ability to clearly and comfortably view, interpret and process information via a computer monitor for extended periods of time during normal working hours is required. Some assignments will require extended periods in another plant/office location domestically. Some international travel may be required.
