Role Overview Job Title: Business Development Executive Location: Bangalore - 1 & Mumbai - 1 Overall position - 2 About the role Our client is expanding its footprint in the startup ecosystem and is hiring a Business Development Executive (12 years experience) for the Startup (SUP) Segment in Bangalore and Mumbai. This role suits someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands cloud adoption challenges, and can engage directly with founders, CXOs, and technical decision-makers at early- and growth-stage startups. Youll be on the front line accelerating AWS Cloud and GenAI adoption, owning key startup relationships, and shaping clients greenfield strategy in the region. What Youll Drive Own regional sales growth for the startup segment and deliver measurable pipeline and revenue impact. Build and execute short- and long-term business development strategies for Cloud, Data, and GenAI services. Manage greenfield accounts end-to-end: prospecting qualifying discovery proposal closing. Develop strong CXO and founder relationships across high-potential startup accounts. Partner closely with AWS BDMs, ISVs, and OEMs to extend Shellkodes reach, co-sell, and co-create value. Collaborate with Marketing on account-based campaigns, founder roundtables, workshops, and field events. Conduct deep market intelligence: industry research, account mapping, buying behavior, funding awareness, and technology trend analysis. What Were Looking For 12 years of experience in B2B/technology/AI SaaS sales, SDR/BDR, or key account management. Background in cloud or AI consulting services; experience in Cloud, Data, or GenAI is strongly preferred. Proven ability to build and manage a qualified pipeline, run outbound motions, and meet activity/revenue targets. Strong communication skills clear, concise, and executive-ready. Comfortable engaging founders and CXOs via email, LinkedIn, and direct outreach. Analytical and research-driven mindset with the ability to align customer needs with AWS/client programs. High ownership, curiosity to learn, and a strong bias for action. Experience in solution selling Cloud Modernization, Data Modernization, AIOps is a big plus.
