Market Research & Opportunity Identification

Conduct in-depth research on the Canadian wind power market, including provincial renewable energy policies, utility procurement plans, and project pipelines.

Identify new business opportunities across developers, IPPs, utilities, EPCs, and local partners.

Track market trends, competitor activities, and policy developments to support early-stage opportunity assessment.

Business Development & Origination

Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, consultants, utilities, government agencies, and industry associations.

Support early-stage project origination by identifying potential projects, partners, and entry points.

Facilitate initial commercial discussions and support project screening, feasibility analysis, and internal approval processes.

Partner & Stakeholder Management

Identify, evaluate, and manage local partners, including developers, EPCs, suppliers, and service providers.

Assist in establishing strategic partnerships, MOUs, and cooperation frameworks to strengthen local market presence.

Represent the company in industry events, conferences, and networking activities in Canada.

Internal Coordination & Pipeline Management

Coordinate with sales, engineering, finance, and legal teams to support opportunity evaluation, technical clarification, and preliminary commercial structuring.

Maintain and update the Canada market opportunity pipeline, ensuring accurate tracking of prospects, project status, and key milestones.

Prepare internal reports, market briefings, and business cases to support management decision-making.

Market Entry & Localization Support

Support Canada market entry strategies, including localization requirements, supplier assessment, and certification-related coordination.

Provide on-the-ground market insights to support long-term strategy, localization planning, and brand positioning in Canada.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience
    Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Business, International Trade, Economics, or related fields.
    Minimum 5–8 years of experience in business development, project development, or market expansion within renewable energy, wind power, or related infrastructure sectors.
    Experience in the Canadian or North American renewable energy market is highly preferred.
  • Market & Industry Knowledge
    Solid understanding of the Canadian renewable energy landscape, including wind project development processes, permitting, and key market players.
    Familiarity with provincial energy frameworks (e.g., Alberta, Ontario, Quebec) is a strong advantage.
  • Core Competencies
    Strong communication, relationship-building, and coordination skills.
    Ability to independently explore new opportunities while working closely with cross-functional teams.
    Analytical mindset with the ability to structure market information and translate insights into actionable opportunities.
  • Additional Requirements
    Comfortable working in a cross-cultural, multinational environment.
    Willingness to travel domestically within Canada and internationally as required.
